About the Publication

A small editorial operation with a single, sober purpose.

Agent Liability EU is an independent analytical publication on the operator provisions of the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act. It exists to make the text legible, the dates visible, and the liability structure citable. It is not a law firm, not a certification body, and not an insurance broker. It publishes analysis, links to the source material, and points readers toward the institutions that carry those other functions in the network.

Editorial Mission

Why this publication exists.

The European Union has built, over two legislative cycles, the most detailed instrument in the world for the governance of artificial intelligence. Most organisations deploying AI agents inside the single market have not yet read the operator provisions of that instrument. The gap between the text and the practice is where risk accumulates, and where this publication focuses its attention.

The editorial standard is straightforward. Every claim is footnoted to a recital, an article, a guidance note, or a published opinion. Entries are dated and revised in place. When a supervisor issues new guidance, the revision is logged and readers who need the earlier wording can request it. The language is deliberately plain, the scope is deliberately narrow, and the tone is deliberately quiet. None of this is marketing.
